Our Partners

Dietetics in Health Care Communities (DHCC):
Many of us are members of DHCC, but it is not a requirement as we are an independent group. We benefit from the DHCC expertise and connectivity to The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). We participate in their programs for distinguished members, projects and publications and follow their bylaws. We also have DHCC publications for sale.
California Dietetic Association (CDA): We are members of CDA, our state dietetic association, participate in and attend their membership meetings. They provide the use of a meeting room along with a member showcase table for fund raising during their annual meeting. The CDA leadership manages CDC funds and awards scholarship assistance to qualified members with goals of improving their skills competency level to improve their practice.
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND or The Academy):
Membership in The Academy is voluntary, and most of us are members, but it is not required for joining our group. It is required that members are credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN), Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietetic Technicians (DTR).
Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR): As registered dietitian nutritionists or dietetic technicians registered we are cedentialed by CDR. This means that after completing the required courses we sit for a credentialing test, then fulfil the required
continuing professional education every five years.
